A private swimming pool and children’s fully-equipped playroom, a fitness room, personal massage and spa amenities, a huge terrace overlooking the organic gardens and a screening room for the latest in movies are all highlights here. The resort’s chef-created meals are a delight to the taste buds and use vegetables grown organically on site, and for daytrips to the mighty Mekong River and historic Chiang Saen, excursion services are provided. The villa’s interior is beautifully designed and fitted out with luxury in mind, and internet and use of a traditional Thai sala complete the picture.
Teak Villa Suandok is unique in the region for its sheer beauty and luxury accommodation and facilities. The small, charming city of Chiang Rai has a history going back at least 800 years, and is a meeting point for local Thais and the many hill-tribe groups who live high on the surrounding mountain slopes. This is ‘Real Thailand’, with buzzing markets featuring traders from isolated traditional hilltribe communities as well as local eateries and restaurants serving the region’s unique, varied cuisine. Thailand’s border with Burma at Mai Sai is just a pleasant drive away, with Tachilek on the Burmese banks of the river an interesting daytrip. On return to your luxury teakwood villa, you’ll find you dedicated maid happy to arrange a relaxing massage after a refreshing swim.
If you’re planning to visit Chiang Rai as a family or group of friends, you’ll be stunned by the beauty and luxury of the three-bedroomed Teak Villa Chiang Rai. Extensive dining and living spaces set against a backdrop of ponds, streams, lush gardens, tropical fruit trees and organic vegetable plots, the interior décor features traditional teak floors and walls and is extensively used in furniture and fittings.

Interesting features of the villa
A great choice of DVDs aimed at all age groups is available, and the Movie Room’s large, flat-screen TV is linked to international satellite channels for news, sports, movies and more. Kids will love this facility, and parents will love the peace and quiet it allows them.
This gorgeous, traditional pagoda-style building is a favourite with visitors for its setting in superb natural beauty, its fitted kitchen, log fireplace and dining space. Breathtaking views across the rice fields to the distant mountains along the border are a highlight here.
Gardens and Ponds
Great care has been taken with the natural landscaping of the estate gardens in order to make them the perfect place for a stroll after dinner or breakfast. The tinkling sounds of the natural stream bisecting the estate are heard, and a smaller sala is set by the largest fishpond to allow fishing and relaxing in the balmy atmosphere.
Health and environment-conscious guests will love the organic gardens and their tasty, ultra-fresh produce, used by the estate’s personal chef in every meal. Visitors can eat their fill, confident that only naturally=grown ingredients have been used in its expert preparation.
Teak Villa Chiang Rai’s three bedrooms are elegantly and beautifully fitted with rich teak wood flooring, teak vaulted ceilings and en-suite bathrooms. Two come with king-sized beds and one has 2 single beds.
The villa boasts four bathrooms, with the three en-suites designed with marble surfaces, large bathtubs, wash basins and toilets. The guest bathroom features a bathtub, basin and toilet.
The ultra-modern kitchen comes fully-equipped with every luxury appliance, although it’s unlikely you’ll need to use it as the estate’s professional chef will prepare all your meals on request.
The open plan living area features dramatic teak vaulted ceilings in the traditional manner as well as glowing teak flooring. The décor is also traditional, using unique Buddhist artworks, local handicrafts and stunning, glittering mirror-ornamented textiles. Views of the large fishpond and the lush gardens are had form both the living are and the terrace with its variety of seating areas.
Three equally attractive choices are provided for dining, beginning with the living area’s open plan dining space and its 10-seater table perfect for inviting new friends to share the luxury of your villa for a friendly meal. If you prefer, you can dine on your terrace whilst enjoying the evening choirs of crickets and frogs. For an especially romantic setting, the dining sala is unbeatable for its large table, cosy dining chairs and glorious views across the paddy fields with their grazing buffalos to the mountains beyond.
